I had an idea.
Currently we are writing dialogue between characters by one of us writing it and the others going in and editing their own characters' lines. This is fine. However, I wondered whether it might be more fun, more natural and allow for more 'emergent' comedy etc to write dialogue by roleplaying in text chat, which can then be copied and pasted into the relevant post.
One of us could instigate - for example, 'I'm writing a post about a combat scene involving X, Y and Z. This event has just happened. You are in this place. GO!'
We could then just ad hoc it. When done, it goes into the post as a transcript.
For example - at some point in the log, Souvarine needs to tell Vex that the Octopus is the same woman he was involved with years ago, when she was an undercover agent. Vex is unlikely to be thrilled by this news. I could either write this scene myself (and likely not nail Vex' dialogue as accurately as Rob could) or we could go into character and actually have the conversation in a forum thread!
I think the dialogue is one of the best bits of Commanders' Log and this might lead to more of it. This also has the advantage of being something we can do throughout the day.
What do you think?

I like it, we need to use the in-character side of things more on Discord. Possibly something to do when bored in work?
