Just a guide to help people with blog posts and ensure character cannon is maintained.
Initial introduction:
Drunk and/or mad, appears to have little concept of the dangers he puts himself in, basic piloting skills seem to be at the incompetent level. However, luck always seems to be on his side.
He is always amiable, though often easily led by his wing mates, especially if there is a drink in the offing.
Keep in mind for blog posts and IC side:
-Al never drinks during a blog post or IC interaction
--He is almost always looking for drink
--He may be well be carrying or transporting drink
--There are references to times that people have been out drinking with him
--He usually seems to be in a state of drunkenness
-Al's incompetence never leads to loss of his ship
--No matter what he crashes into, who he's chased/shot by and what other stupid things he does, he never loses his ship to his incompetence
-In fact, he never loses a ship
--When in combat, he seems to be incredibly lucky
---Either, somehow, taking down opponents who are far better equipped
---Or somehow managing to escape
-Al's past is never mentioned
--It's not that he changes topic, it is just never asked about
--If the conversation ever tends to the past, something will happen to distract everyone from the conversation
Long term development (things that will develop/come out/be worked out over the long term of the blog):
-Luck or skill
--No matter how incompetent his flying seems to be, he seems to complete more objectives than he fails, also there is a direct correlation between the difficulty of the objective and his success
-He Winds everyone up just the right amount
--His drunken/mad demeanour always is just on the right side of the line that people, begrudgingly, accept his company rather than just blast him out of the sky
-Idiot savant
--He won't know how to do something basic (i.e. fuel transfer). However, in later logs he'll be the one who somehow manages to get through the deepest layers of security, seemingly by accident
-Who is he?
--Hopefully, if people actually read the blog and IC posts, they'll start adding things up and realising he isn't all that he initially seems.
--Current plan is:
---Scorned lover of Arissa (sp?), driven mad and to drink, but now recovered but using it as a cloak to work his way close to her again for an unknown reason
Appearance:
-He is tall, slight built with medium length of fine, wavy, grey hair
-He was clearly an attractive man when younger, but his face is drawn beyond its years with his eyes deep set and heavily bagged - this is, no doubt, due to the alcoholism
--His age is hard to guess because of this, however an approximation of 40-55 is what most go with
-His clothes were clearly once fine, but are now very well worn and somewhat threadbare/patched
