Hi chaps
I'm on the home leg now - 12,000 light years to go. I should be either home or close to it by tonight or tomorrow.
Selling exploration data at a station delivers a boost to the influence of the controlling minor faction. In the cases of trips like this, that boost can be massive. I was hoping to be able to sell it at Dashiell when IPEC is in game, but that doesn't look like happening soon enough.
Which begs the question - where to sell my data?
There aren't really any other minor factions I'm bothered about!
Thoughts welcome...

I think this is best left to an in character decision, and my thoughts would be that:
Souvarine, being such a staunch Imperialist and passionate supporter of Arissa, would want to provide this important and unique data to Arissa directly. Failing that, he would want to provide it to the highest power he could, closest to Arissa. Therefore I'd suggest trading it in at the Imperial home system/station (wherever that is).

That's good thinking. I'll do that.
In other news, I am now on 14% hull, after a weird glitch saw me stuck inside a planet. I was looking out at the wireframe, it was weird. Anyway, the act of getting out stripped me of quite a lot of hull points.
I will definitely need an escort to Kamadhenu!

The planet glitch is a known one, the solution according to the forums is to log out and in again, you'll find yourself in orbit when you do.
Not that I imagine you'll be doing much landing with 14% hull!
Ref the data, I would be tempted to sell it at a station as near as possible to the edge of the bubble. Last thing you want it to be interdicted and killed by an NPC on your way back in. That would suck hard.

I tried that - you don't end up back in orbit, you log back in still inside the planet!
You have to log out then log back in to Elite Dangerous 1 (32bit). Ie, the non-horizons version. Then you end up back in orbit.

Ah that was it. I knew there was something about logging out and back in again!
Here Tom, have half of the advice you actually need!
